CONEY SAUCE for HOT DOGS

1&1/4 Lbs.- Hamburger
1- Large Onion
1/2- C. Sugar
1/2- C. Chili Powder
1/2- C. Ketchup
1&1/2- C. Water

How to make it :

Chop Onion
Mix Hamburger & Onion in skillet
Brown Hamburger & Onion until Hamburger is done.
Drain.
Put mixture back in skillet and add remaining ingredients.
Simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Serve on Hot Dogs.
Can be frozen until ready to use

  4. I made it and it turned out really good chilli powder and sugar balances out

    1. I think that I would swap brown sugar for the white sugar. It does seem like an awful lot of chili powder.

  6. Sounds good, have to try it we eat coney dogs a lot.Have a recipe from A& W that works but is so much more time consuming.
